Lucille A. Garcia

Lucille A. Garcia, age 77, a resident of Jarales, NM, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was a true homemaker. Her joy was having her family all together for the holidays or whenever they could get together. Her grandchildren adored her and she in return loved each and everyone of them. She had many interests throughout her life but they always took a back seat to her family. She had a very quick wit and her sense of humor affected everyone around her. Lucille loved the outdoors from gardening to going to the mountains, camping, fishing and deer hunting. She was always aware of the sun’s rays and always went to great extents to cover herself from the sun’s bad effects. In her younger years, Lucille and her husband Rupert who passed away in 2002 loved motorcycling and they would often hop on their Harley for trips all around New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rupert; son, George; sister, Ramey Gabaldon; brother, Benjie Archuleta; and her parents, Juan and Josefita (Smith) Archuleta. Lucille is survived by her loving children, Loretta A. Silva and husband, Dennis, Jeanette Burch and husband, Richard, Carolyn Y. Lutgen and husband, Michael, Diane M. Moya and husband, Michael, Alfred B. Garcia and Lisa M. Davis; 13 grandchildren, Dominica, Aaron, Jonathan, Dana, Sophia, Louise, Elizabeth, Samantha, Ryan, Kayla , Hannah, George and ˜Chyann; 10 great-grandchildren, Jared, Hailey, Saige, Brandon, Cameron, Eden, Marla, Curtis, Audreyanne and Nyah; and brothers and sisters, Celia Archuleta, John Archuleta and wife, Susan, Chris Archuleta, Nellie Cordova and Ernest Archuleta. All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, May 17, beginning with a viewing at 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
