Lisa Marie Chavez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

1992-2020 Lisa Marie Chavez, age 27, a resident of Los Chavez, NM, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Lisa very much enjoyed learning, whether it was through reading, movies or in person. One of her favorite past times was to watch movies with her best friend, Alesia Chavez. She also loved music and watching “Wheel of Fortune” with her mom and dad. Lisa loved activities such as bowling, going to the zoo, the Bio Park and museum. She had a beautiful smile that would steal your heart because she lit up the room with it. We would like to thank all her nurses, doctors, therapists, teachers, palliative care and Mariposa Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Lisa Marie. We also want to thank the medically fragile program, Harmony Thrive and Children’s Home Healthcare. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Elias and Isabel Chavez and maternal grandfather, Alfonso Garcia. Lisa is survived by her parents, Paul and Cynthia Chavez; her maternal grandmother, Henrietta Garcia; her beloved friend, Alesia Chavez and several uncles, aunts and cousins. Services will take place on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church beginning with a Public Viewing at 8:30 AM, a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 AM, a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM and Interment to follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
