Helen F. Santillanes

1947-2015 Helen F. Santillanes, age 67, a resident of Los Lunas, NM passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was a loving mother who was always there for her family and loved unconditionally. She had a special place in her heart for her loyal pets Daisy and Gizmo. Helen was like a diamond anyone who knew and met her felt very blessed to have her in their lives. Helen was a very giving person who helped anyone in need and she would give her last penny she had with her or give anything that meant a lot to her just to help the person in need. She also taught her children to swallow our pride no matter what we thought of a person or what happened it is very important to forgive and move on and help who ever needed it. She loved and taught to love unconditionally as she left us she did ask to make sure we still keep the chain together and please don’t break it. That is a promise we will keep. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin E. and Andrea Torres; brothers, George, Martin P. and Gene Torres; daughter, Stefanie Santillanes. Helen is survived by her daughters, Andrea Santillanes and husband, Isachar Benitez, Monica Pena and husband, Lalo, Michelle Santillanes and boyfriend, Gillie Baca; grandchildren, Martin and wife, Celina, Joe and wife, Angel, Julian, Angelica, Steven, Gabriella, Fabian, Robert and Elena; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Natalie, Annabella and Stefanie; sister, Vivian Bingham and husband, Anthony Bolton; brother, Robert Sparlin and wife, Karolee, Richard Torres and wife, Louise, Enrique Torres and wife, Gloria; sister-in-law, Diana Torres; brother-in-law, Jose A. Santillanes and wife, Josephine; and the loving father of her children, Jose I. Santillanes. She is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces and friends. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 18th beginning with a Visitation at 9:00 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Valencia Catholic Cemetery.
