Elaine Celine Montoya

1948-2020 Elaine Celine White Montoya, age 71, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, was welcomed into heaven on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; her son, Paul Montoya; her parents, Ben White and Carmen Chavez; her brother, John White, and several other family members. She was a devoted wife and mother, who lived a life filled with love and family. Elaine shared fifty-five passionate years of marriage with her husband, Richard Montoya. An indefinite love that built a strong loving family of six children, fifteen grandchildren, and several great- grandchildren. Elaine and Richard had the pleasure of residing in three beautiful states throughout the years. New Mexico, New York, and California are where they blissfully worked to support and raise their family. Elaine was a protective, nurturing, spirited, inspiring woman, and a committed Seventh Day Adventist. She saw only the best in others and has touched the hearts of many. She will forever be missed. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Ben White and Carmen Chavez; brother John White, and son Paul Montoya. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard J. Montoya; six children, Jerry Montoya, Cellenna Stevens, Doreen Montoya, Richard Montoya Jr., Melanie Montoya, and Genevieve Montoya; fifteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as, hundreds of family and friends who loved her dearly. A Public Viewing will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Romero Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Private Interment on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Pallbearers will be Jerry Montoya, Nikko Stevens, Gabriel Barajas, Richard Montoya Jr., Paul L. Guerrero, and Genevieve Montoya. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Montoya Sr., Cellenna Stevens, Doreen Montoya, and Melanie Montoya.
