Shirley Farwell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirley J. Farwell went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was able to spend her last days in the loving care of her children and grandchildren. Shirley was born in Butte, MT on December 14, 1930, to John Samuel Lutz and Margaret Carrig. She attended Carroll College and worked as a surgical nurse at the Murray Clinic in Butte, MT. Shirley married William R. Farwell on November 28, 1953. After her marriage to William, she left her position to devote her time to raising their family. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, William Lutz; sister, Dorothy Miller; and her granddaughter, Katie Farwell. She is survived by her children and grandchildren; daughter, Dorothy (Art Brown) and their children, Paul and Michael; daughter, Elizabeth Farwell; son, Richard Farwell (Janell), and their children, Catherine and Andrew; son, Tim Farwell and (Shawna), and their children, Ston Quaglia, Rebecca, and TJ; and nephews, John Lutz and Mark Miller. Shirley was blessed to witness the birth of her two great-grandchildren, Desiree Brown and Amara Quaglia. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 03, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Farwell, Ston Quaglia, TJ Farwell, Paul Brown, Michael Brown, and Andrew Farwell. Honorary pallbearers are Arthur Brown, Richard Farwell, and Andrew Miles.
