Rosemarie Betancourt Jimenez

1934 -2021 Rosemarie Betancourt Jimenez, age 88, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and more was welcomed to be with our Lord on December 6, 2021. She was born on January 12, 2934 in Los Angeles, CA, where she grew up. Rosemarie was a resident of Los Lunas, NM, where she had settled with her late husband, Pete Florez Jimenez, whom she reunited with in her death. She was a devoted mother of a military family who traveled often and enjoyed spending time with family and close friends. Rosemarie always had a smile and her laughter was infectious. She loved her family and instilled these values in her daughters who loved her dearly. Rosemarie was an animal lover and loved all of God’s creatures. Especially fond of cats, she owned 6 who resided in her home with her. Rosemarie loved them all. The love that she had for her family spread even more so as she had a big family that was constantly growing. Rosemarie loved classic movies and was a fan of comedy. She loved The Golden Girls and always fond of a good joke. Rosemarie touched the lives of everyone she met and will be missed dearly by each and every one of us. She was very proud of all her family and wanted the best for them. She did everything in her power to made sure everyone was safe and comfortable. Rosemarie was dedicated to her family and friends and expressed her love to us all. Let us not forget the memories, because those memories we can cherish for they will always be with us, just as she was always here for us. Rosemarie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete Jimenez; sisters, Evelyn and Rachel; and niece, Rocci. She is survived by her daughters, Drucila Encinias, Maria Elena Cardenas, Angela Runnels, and Teresa Bryant; sister, Helen Moore; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and six beloved cats and 2 dogs. A viewing will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 12:45 p.m..
