Maria De Los Angeles "Angie" Duran Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

1937 – 2022 Maria De Los Angeles “Angie” Duran, age 85, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was a member of San Clemente Parish. Angie is preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Manuela Nañez; siblings, Eliseo, Elfida, Antonio, and Gloria; father and mother in-law, Pablo and Rosa Duran; and brother-in-law, Tony Duran. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Raul Duran; children, JoAnn (Rick) Griego, Sarah (Delbert) Chavez, Minerva Duran, and David Duran (Erika); grandchildren, Dustin Chavez, Ashley Chavez (Robert), Patrick Allen (Ricky), Amanda Quintana (Carl), Levi Allen (Leandra), and Savanna Searles (Derek), Miranda Hammack (William) , Kimberly Duran (Derek) Skye (Alonzo) Romero; 13 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Dean, Layla, Rose, Benjamin, Desmond, Kye, Logan, Mateo, Tristen, Bella, Ava, and Ella; sisters-in-law, Minerva Rodriguez (Abraham) and Blanca Duran; sisters, Eloisa, Lupe, Carolina, and Francis; brothers, Balthazar, Miguel, Jimmy, and Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Angie loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending the day outside in her flower garden. When Angie wasn’t outside, you would find her talking chisme at the kitchen table or singing and dancing to Fats Domino. Other hobbies included capturing candid moments on her camera and organizing her photo albums, which she has hundreds of. Angie will be missed for her stories, unconditional love, support, her amazing ice-cold tea that she would always have ready as soon as we would walk through the door, and most of all her secret keeping skills. A public visitation will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 8:30 a.m., with a rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at Los Lentes Catholic Cemetery.
