Soila S Moya

1931- 2026 Soila Moya, age 95, a resident of Valencia, NM and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Peralta, was granted her angel wings on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family. All services will be held on Monday August 17, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic church in Peralta. Beginning with a Viewing at 9:00 a.m., Rosary at 9:45 a.m., Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Romero, Betty Lovato (Jose); and son Roland Vaisa. Soila is preceded in death by her husband, Phil Moya; sons, Leroy and Morris Vaisa; daughters, Margaret Garcia, Yvonne Sanchez, and Martha Garley; sons in law Arlen Romero, Peter Garley, Tony Garcia and daughter in law, Rosemary Vaisa; grandsons, Arlen Clayton Romero and Dominic Garley. Soila was a Godly woman who prayed the rosary daily for the intentions of her family, friends or anyone who'd ask for prayers. As a devoted Catholic, Soila attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (Peralta) eight o' clock mass. After mass, she'd stand outside church waiting in a procession line to greet "her People". She always had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. Soila loved her Dallas Cowboys and Dodgers Baseball teams. She remained a loyal fan "win or lose". Soila was employed by Blakes Lottaburger and later by Los Lunas Schools as a custodian at the administration building for many years where she made countless friendships that lasted till today. The loves of her life were her twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. They loved hearing her stories of her growing up riding horses and of growing up surrounded by much love and attention from her six siblings since she was the baby and of times much simpler than today. Pallbearers will be Nathan Romero, Jacob Lovato, Benjamin Miranda, Joshua Vaisa, Adam Lovato and Derrick Garley. Honorary pallbearers include all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren. A special mention for her granddaughter Lacey Lucero who called her every afternoon at 3:15 after work.
