Sesaria Lopez

1924-2014 Sesaria “Sessy” Sanchez Lopez, age 90, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Sessy was born in Belen, New Mexico in 1924 and was a resident of Belen. Sessy was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Sessy was a wonderful person who devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking and embroidering, but mostly she loved being with her family and caring for them. Sessy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eduardo "Lalo" Lopez; her parents, Preciliano and Elena Sanchez; her brother, Kilo Sanchez; and her sisters, Erlinda Garcia and Jenny DeAnda. Sesaria is survived by her loving daughters, Eva Martinez and husband, Jerry, and Elena Lopez Jones, and husband, Bob; her grandchildren, Ann Marie Chavez and husband, Robert, and their children, Gavin and Logan; Denee Golliheair and husband, Shannon, and their children, Taylor, Bailee and Dalton, and great-great-grandchild, Kasen; Derek Crnkovich and wife, Stephanie, and their sons, Dylon and Daxton; Renee Martinez and her children, Olivia, Jeremiah and Sophia; Dr. Carla Martinez; Celena Tabet Jaquez, and husband, Steven, and their children, Miguel and Gabriella; Jeffrey Tabet; her sister, Lucinda Romero and her husband, Daniel; brother-in-law, Joe T. Garcia and his wife, Dolores; and her in-laws, Onesima Duran, Emilia Baca, Estanislado Lopez and Paulette Lopez. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Ambercare and their hospice staff for their loving support during their mom’s long illness. They also would like to extend a very special thank you to their long-term caregivers, Alicia Flores and her daughters, Janeth, Veronica and Little Daisy. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Tuesday, September 2nd beginning with a Viewing at 9:00 a.m. with a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with Father Felipe Valadez presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Romero, Lorenzo Romero, Joseph Garcia, Derek Crnkovich, Jeffrey Tabet, Robert Chavez, Shannon Gollihear, and Steven Jaquez.
