Ruben R. Perales

1924-2019 Ruben R. Perales, age 94, passed away on May 18, 2019 at his home in Los Lunas, NM. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on August 8, 1924. Ruben lived in Gallup most of his adult life. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne. After the War he returned to his home in Gallup, NM, where he worked as a coal miner, truck driver, and was employed with the McKinley County Schools and retired after 25 years. Ruben is preceded in death by his father, Idephonso Perales; mother, Dolores Rivera Perales; brothers, Jay Perales, Pasqual (Jim) Perales, Louis Perales, Raul Perales, Joe (Babe) Perales, and sister Elisa (Lecha) Perales Garcia. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Dolores Baca Perales; daughter, Dorothy Griego, her children, Tom Griego and his daughter Ryan Griego; Tammie Gutierrez and her sons’, Alex Carpenter, Thomas Carpenter; his children, Tristan Carpenter, Izzabella Carpenter, and Dennis; Ryan Griego and his wife, Dallas and their son, Tyler Griego; son Lorenzo Perales and wife Debra and their children Dominic Perales, Jennie Perales and her son Ely; son, Ruben Perales, Jr. and his wife Annette and their children, Jamie Perales and wife Patty and their children, Thalia, Sophia, and Diego Perales, Ruben Perales, III (Deceased), Lynn Marie Perales, Zachary Perales and his wife Elijah and their son Ezechel, son Dennis Perales and his children, Nola Perales, Sara Perales, Rico Perales and Fiance Elena Maldonado; Rudy Lopez and family, Lena Rodriguez and family, Joe and Ronnie Rodriquez (both deceased), as well as many loving nehews, nieces, and their families and friends. Services will take place at San Clemente Catholic Church, Los Lunas, NM, on May 22, 2019. The celebrant will be Father James Marshall. Viewing at 8:30 a.m., Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Friday, May 24, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at San Clemente Catholic Cemetery.
