Patricia "Trish" Marie Sweeney

1981 -2021 With great sorrow we announce that Patricia (Trish) Marie Sweeney, age 40, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed into the arms of our Lord in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Trish was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 30, 1981 and remained there until the time of her transition into Heaven. She was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at birth, but despite her diagnosis, she was able to enjoy a very full and productive life. Her childhood and teen years were spent attending McCollum Elementary School, Madison Middle School, and was a graduate of Manzano High School, class of 1999. Trish had the most beautiful spirit with the most gracious and kindest of hearts. She loved her family and friends with every ounce of her heart. Even if you met her for the first time, you were immediately special to her and she’d love you with everything she had. Some of Trish’s greatest joys were being a mommy to her Build-A-Bears, anything Disney related (especially Aladdin & Eeyore), puppies, and attending Homecoming games at Manzano H.S. She brought sweet smiles, hugs, and comfort to everyone she met. Trish loved going to the mall and other retail stores to visit all of her friends, or “buddies” as she liked to call them. She remembered everyone’s birthday and made sure to design a special handmade card for any holiday in your honor. If you were privileged enough to ever meet Trish, she would have left an imprint on your heart to last a million lifetimes. Like Snow White, Trish filled the world with kindness & purity and will be truly missed. Patricia was met at the gates of Heaven by her paternal grandfather, Edward Kevin Sweeney; paternal great-grandparents, Flaviano & Dulcinea Sanchez (Armenta); maternal great-grandparents, Pedro (Pete) & Jennie Trujillo; and her niece, Alexius Thalia Baca. She is survived by her parents, Anthony (Tony) & Susan Sweeney; brother & sister-in-law, Edward (Racheal) Sweeney; niece, Ireland Lowe & only nephew, Logan Sweeney; paternal grandmother, Eva Sweeney; and furry sister (doggie), Bella Marie. Trish was blessed with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including Dave (Darlene) Sweeney, Chloe Sweeney, Dana (Eli) Flores (Michael, Tristain & Aayla), Michaela (Albert) Landeros (Ariella). We, the family, would be honored if you wore purple (Trish’s favorite color) or anything Disney related, to her services, if you are able to attend. In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the ASPCA or Animal Human Association in her honor; in tribute to Trish’s tremendous amount of love for dogs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward Sweeney, Ireland Lowe, Logan Sweeney, Zachary Garcia, Eli Flores, Michael Sweeney, Tristain Flores, and Albert Landeros.
