Mellie (Armelina) Zamora Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

1947-2020 Mellie (Armelina) Zamora, age 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2020. She was resident of Tome, NM, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Mellie had a tremendous heart and a love for children, especially her grandchildren. She taught Catechism for many years and worked as special education assistant for the Los Lunas Schools and she was also a bookkeeper for over 40 years for Danny’s Plumbing and Heating. Mellie was very devoted to her faith and our Blessed Holy Mother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Josefita Chavez and step-mother, Anne Moya; brothers, Eddie Chavez, Adelaido Chavez, Freddie Chavez, Leo Chavez, and Lorenzo Chavez; step siblings, Candelario Moya and Amelia Silva. Mellie is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Danny G. Zamora Sr.; sons, Danny (Vickie), Marcos (Victoria); daughter, Bernadette (Aubrey) Edge; grandchildren, Dominic, Raelynn, Joshua, Crystal, Alesha, Zaylon, Dani Rae, Zane, and Zavannah; sister, Lydia (Porfirio) Olguin; brother, Leroy (Erlinda) Chavez; step-siblings, Alice Chavez, Alvie Lucero, Louie Moya, and Cecilia Gutierrez. Services will take place on Thursday August, 6, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome, beginning with a Public Viewing from 10:00-10:30 AM, a Rosary to be recited at 10:30, Funeral Mass at 11:00 and Interment to follow at Tome Catholic Cemetery.
