Julian A. Silva

˜Julian A. Silva, age 83, a resident of Los Lunas, had his final rodeo on Wednesday, Oct. 6, surrounded by his family that meant the world to him. He was born to Sipriano and Leanore Silva in Lemitar, NM where he grew up being an all around cowboy which was his passion until he met the love of his life, Carolyn. Every year, everyone could count on a big, beautiful vegetable garden from his loving and caring hands. Anyone that came to visit never left without a feast and a story or two about “the good ole days.”˜ Julian lived life to its fullest, which was apparent from his lifestyle. He was an avid outdoors man and was always getting into something that he shouldn’t. He was preceded in death by his loving parents; step-mother, Maria; brothers, Patrocino and Ruben Silva; sister-in-law, Cecelia Silva; brother-in-law, Nacario Lopez; and granddaughter, Baby Lauren Carol Silva. Julian is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carol Anderson Silva; two sons, Manuel and wife, Bernadette and Anthony and wife, Terriean; four adoring grandchildren, Andrea, Dominic, JoAnne and Julian; one brother, Fernandez Silva and wife, Ester; and two sister-in-laws, Cathy Lopez and Flora Sedillo. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and special friends. The family wishes to thank the staff of Ambercare Hospice for the loving care they gave to Julian. Also a special thank you to Father Jose Hernandez for a beautiful mass. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 7, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez presiding. Interment will follow at the Valencia Catholic Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Willie Chavez, Arturo Fernandez, Alex Peralta, Marvin Perea, Jason Hatch and David Chavez.
