1990-2016 Johnny Michael Peña Jr., age 25, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He loved the outdoors and was a devoted New England Patriot’s fan. Johnny was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was always making people laugh and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his son Michael. He will be missed by all who knew him. We love you Johnny (aka Poncho, Junior, Mikey) He is preceded in death by his step-father, Mark Perea; grandfathers, Carlos Peña and Felipe Chavez; and great-grandparents, Candido and Lita Montaño, and Jose (Chavita) Chavez; and uncle, Jeffery Montano. Johnny is survived by his loving Fianceé, Cheyenne Sanchez; son, Michael Estevan Peña and his mother, Samantha Patterson; step-daughter, Leighton Sanchez; and his baby to be, Johnny Michael Peña III; father, Johnny Michael Peña Sr.; mother, Margie Montaño Perea; father-in-law to be, Juanito Sanchez; grandparents, Mabel Peña, Ida, and Andy Vallejos; sisters, June Peña, Marisa Garcia (Josh Barrone), and Johnna Peña (Estevan Montoya); step-brothers, Derek Perea (Debbie), Damian Perea, and Wade Perea; step-sisters, Alexis, and Ashley; sisters-in-law to be, Adrianna and Aubriella Baca; uncles and aunts, Candido and Judy Chavez, Sabrina Chavez, Carlos Pena II, Mark Pena, Mona Pena, Joann Pena, Gloria Pena-Chavez, Denise Kline, and Elaine Visa; nieces, Myah and Carmela Montoya , Desiree, Brianna, and Gianna Deloia; and nephews, Josiah Lucero, Antonio Montoya, Luke Roriguez, and Noah, and Samuel. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends. A Viewing will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Romero Funeral Home, with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, May 16, 2016, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Los Lentes Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Estevan Montoya, Josh Barrone, Joel Maldonado, Carlos Trujillo, Daniel Trujillo, Matthew Cordova, Damien Perea, and Derek Perea.
