James White

1974-2016 James Austin White Sr., 41, of Jarales, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016. James was a loving father, b o y f r i e n d , son, brother, nephew and great friend to everyone. James was well known in Valencia County for his hard work and his love for his animals. James dedicated a 15-year career at the Valencia County Animal Control to give animals a second chance at life. James loved his longtime girlfriend, Janette Turner. He loved his kids and sacrificed everything he had to give to his boys. James loved sports. He especially loved the New York Jets ever since he was a child. He loved taking his boys fishing and to yard sales. James also loved having barbecues. He was very close to his parents, who he always went to see every night. James always wanted peace and never liked confrontation. He always wanted people to get along. James was unique, always loved the simple life. He taught his kids to be happy with what they have. He always had a saying, “Money may buy happiness but it can’t buy love.” We are sure going to miss him but he is now taking care of big sister, “Nina,” in heaven. James is preceded in death by his sister, Janeen White; paternal grandparents, James E. White and Rebecca White; maternal grandparents, Erlindo Trujillo and Maryann Trujillo; aunt, Ann Sanchez; and Antonio Trujillo. He is survived by his parents, Rick and Martha White; children, James White Jr. Dakota White, Tyler Turner and Christopher White, who he took under his wing and raised as his own; longtime girlfriend and fiancee, Janette Turner; sister, Kimberly and husband, John Jaramillo; brother, Robert White; uncle, Lorenzo Trujillo; half brother, Rick White Jr.; half sister, Kari Ann White; and his favorite niece and nephews, Angelica A. Jaramillo and husband, Jay, best friend Justin Jaramillo, and Vincent Jaramillo; and his little buddy, Christian “Buggy”; and many more aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, too many to mention but he loved them all. A viewing will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, at Romero Funeral Home, followed by a funeral at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert White, John Jaramillo, Jay Alvarez, Daniel Trujillo, James White Jr. and Derrick Saiz. The honorary pallbearer will be Dakota White. A reception will follow after the funeral at the First Baptist Church in Los Chavez.
