Jack L. Hallatt

1912-2014 Jack L. Hallatt Born November 6, 1912 passed away Thursday August 14, 2014 after nearly 102 years on this earth. He was in the company of his loving daughter Wanda at the time of his passing. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of over 52 years, Pauline, his daughter Bonita Kay, his daughter Janice Rae, and his son Dale Richard. Jack has three living children; son Ronald Lee, Wanda L, and Robert Jack. His six children blessed him with 18 grandchildren; Rex, Sherri, Ronda, Denise, Debbie, Rick, Mike, Christy, Paul, Rusty, Sean, Carla, Becky, Kevin, Josh, Amber, Angie, and Robin. Jack and Pauline’s children provided them with a generous family tree to include grandchildren, great grandchildren and grandchildren to complete the 5th generation during his lifetime. Jack lived a long and abundant life, born in Michigan Jack also lived in Chicago but moved to Indiana where he met and married the love of his life Pauline. In his younger years, Jack worked as a lifeguard, delivering newspapers, and as a golf caddy. He retired after working for Indiana Public Service Company for over 40 Years. He enjoyed horseback riding, playing Polo, fishing, wood working and walking. Jack and Pauline lived throughout the great state of Indiana until after he retired. They moved their primary residence to New Mexico and continued to travel throughout the United States visiting their children and grandchildren until Pauline’s death in 1989. Jack remained in their home for several years before moving his residence to be with his daughter Wanda. Jack was a member of the Sierra Vista Baptist Church in Belen and then became and remained a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Albuquerque until his passing. Prior to his cremation, the family had a private viewing and visit with Jack on Friday August 15th at the Romero Funeral Home in Belen. The family would like to invite you attend Jack’s memorial service at the Riverside Baptist Church in Albuquerque on Monday August 18th at 3:00 pm. Interment will be in Plainfield, Indiana the details are not known at the time of this posting. The family would like to thank Justin Gouch, who out of his love for the family and for Jack provided loving care for his Grandaddy through his final months.
