Fred Orosco

1925-2019 Fred Orosco, age 93, a resident of Peralta, NM, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019. He was a great and wonderful man, a hero and an inspiration to many. Fred was born in 1925 when the struggle was real. He survived and prospered through the great depression supporting his parents and siblings. He Survived World War II, 23 months at sea, and combat during the Philippine conflict. Fred worked his entire life providing selflessly for his wife and children. There were demons he battled. Through God’s mighty hand he was victorious. In his later years he battled death, but God eventually needed him home. Beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Brother you will be missed but we know you’re with God looking down from Heaven free of pain and suffering. Fred is preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Daniel M. Deherrera. He is survived by his love wife of 68 years, Josephine Sanchez Orosco; son and daughter-in-law, Freddy Orosco Rachel Aragon-Orosco. Daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Henry Samaniego; daughter, Eva Deherrera and son-in-law, Milton Deherrera; grandchildren, Elisa, Milton Jr, Jaqueline DeHerrera, Joe Ricard, Samantha and Mathew Truesdell,Jason Orosco, Alixandria Aragon, Nick Back, Lisa Renaud, Amy Chaira, and Henry Samaniego II; great grandchildren, Daniel, Samuel Eli, Analisa, Joseph, David, Andrew, Manuel, Savannah, Kayla, Kirsten, Tyler, Tustin, Vanessa, Marcos, Tatum, Jackson, John Henry III, and Anika; great-great grandchild Brynlee. A viewing will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Romero Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. A final viewing will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Interment will follow at the Gavilan Canyon Cemetery in Ruidoso NM at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Milton Deherrera Jr., Jimmy Alvarez, Joseph and David Deherrera, Bobby Duran and Marlin Alston.
