Elijio J. Jaramillo

1953-2015 Elijio J. Jaramillo, age 61, a resident of Belen, NM born and raised in Adelino went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tomé. He also attended Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley in Belen. Elijio loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, sisters and other family and friends. He loved the simple things in life, hunting (anything), fishing, being outdoors, even if only to walk for miles. He was a kindhearted and generous man who would not hesitate to give you his last dollar if needed. He especially loved "his" Lord, Jesus Christ. Beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.... He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Candelaria Gallegos Jaramillo; brother, Larry Jaramillo; and sister, Martha Marquez. Elijio is survived by his sisters, Adela Vargas, Socorro Jaramillo and husband, Esequiel; daughters, Melissa Padilla, Irene Montoya and husband, Lawrence; son, Jacob Jaramillo and wife, Shawna; grandchildren, Gabriel and Andrew Aleman, Alliyah, Michaela, and Eden Padilla, Dylan Jaramillo and wife, Gabby, Isaiah Jaramillo, Angel Vaisa, Makayla Montoya, Jacob Jaramillo Jr. and wife, Deanna, Shania, Adrianna, Selena, Emilia, and Abraham Jaramillo; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Ariana, and Dominic Jaramillo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. All services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tomé beginning with a public viewing at 10:00 a.m. with a rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez presiding. Interment will follow at Tome Catholic Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Elk's Lodge in Belen. Pallbearers are Dylan Jaramillo, Isaiah Jaramillo, Jacob Jaramillo Jr., Gabriel Aleman, Andrew Aleman, Daniel Jaramillo, Joseph and Leonard Urtiaga. Honorary Pallbearer is Abraham Jaramillo.
