David A. Jaramillo

1951-2018 As the song goes "There is a better place waiting for me in heaven, every tear will be wiped away, I am going home." David Jaramillo, 66, a resident of Bosque, NM, was called home Monday, May 1, 2018. He graduated from Kennedy High in Barstow, California. David married his high school sweet heart, best friend and life-long companion, Christine Jaramillo. Together they had two children of their own and adopted three. The two of them spent over twenty years of their life giving back to their community by fostering over 100 children. David was hard-working, strong, loving and gentle. He enjoyed carpentry work and doing projects around the house and he took lots of pride in his work. Family meant everything to him. David spent many weekends taking all his children camping and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his dad, Tony, watching old western movies and cracking jokes. David also enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved God and he loved his family to no end. If there was one thing he wanted most, it was unity in his family. David was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Jaramillo and his three brothers: Steve, Joe and Robert. He is survived by his father, Tony, his loving wife, Christine, two sisters; Annette and Bernie, three sons; David (April Chavez), Matthew (Caroline), and Joseph; two daughters, Brenda Schmidt (Eric), April Mirabal (Onecimo), 15 loving grandchildren; Destinie, Tony, David Jr, Jacob, Andrea, Josiah, Onecimo David, Damien, Giovanni, Daisy, Matthew Jr., Noah, Jeremiah, Tailor, Ariana, and two loving great-granddaughters Marie and Ellie, as well as his many other loved ones including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be David Jr, Tony, Matthew, Matthew Jr, Eric, Jacob, Tyler, Josiah. All Services will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018, beginning with a Public Viewing at 8:45 AM at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and Interment to follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
