Antonio Baca

April 28, 1926 - April 13, 2017 Antonio ‘Tony’ M. Baca, 90, a lifelong resident of Adelino entered into heaven’s gates on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born to the late Onofre and Maria Baca, on April 28, 1926. He was the oldest of six children, the proud father to six boys, and a loving grandfather to his many ‘hitos' and ‘hitas'. In 1944, Tony married the love of his life, his angel from Carnuel, the late Margaret H. Baca and six boys were born from this loving union. They lived a humble farm life in Adelino surrounded by family, friends, ‘compas’, and many farm animals. He was a hardworking man, strong in his Catholic faith, that taught those around him strong morals, the value of having a strong faith in God, and the importance of a loving family. Tony retired as a concrete finisher from J.B Henderson in 1988 after 30 years of devoted service in the construction industry. Tony truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures; sharing stories with family & friends near the ‘quartito’, snacking on his favorite ‘cofficito’ and cookies, praying his rosary, or spending time with the many grandkids that loved to make him laugh. His charming smile and beautiful spirit shined bright to the sound of his favorite ranchera, when he would go into his own little world and dance his heart away. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his boys and their spouses, Cristobal (Cris) and wife Susan Baca, the late Louie and wife Patty Baca, the late Benjamin (Ben) and wife Glenda Baca, Reynaldo (Ray) and wife Agnes Baca, and Antonio (Anthony) and wife Delfine Baca; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great- grandchildren and their spouses, and 6 great-great children; his siblings, Luga Calles, Emma Sedillo, Elena Aragon and husband Pedro, Ramon Baca and wife Fela, and half- siblings, Betty Sanchez, Ida Ortiz, Odelio Baca, Cordelia Grady, and Jennifer Baca; devoted caregivers, Reina and Lucia; his caring companion Loretta Taylor and many other nieces, nephews, compadres and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret H. Baca; his three sons, Louie, Ben (Benjamin), and Jose; his brother, Frank; and half-sisters Clara and Patricia. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Tony are invited to his services that will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tome. Final visitation will begin at 10:00am, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Tome Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Baca, Craig Baca, Kevin Baca, Mario Baca, Eric Baca, Joshua Baca, Micheal Baca, and Ramon Baca. Thank you to family and friends for all their loving support.
