Adan "Adam" G. Salas

1944-2018 Adan G. “Adam” Salas, age 74, a life-long resident of Bosque, New Mexico, went with our Lord on December 28, 2018. He was born in his parent’s home in Bosque, NM and was preceded in death by his parents, Ynes R. Salas and Mercedes Garcia Salas and his infant daughter, Monica Salas; sisters, Beatrice Baca, Lydia (Augustin) Barajas, Elfie (Preme) Pino; brothers, Trinny (Corine) Salas, Rogerio Salas, and Teddy Salas. Adam was also preceded in death by his in-laws; Juan D. (Palmiria) Romero; brothers-in-law; Joe A. Gallegos, Raymond J. Romero, Manuel David Romero and sister-in-law, Clara Torres. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Ruby Romero Salas; daughters, Palma Jean (Larry) Otero, Monica Anna (Greg) Ten Eyck; grandchildren, Jessika Lynn Otero, Jon Michael Otero and Ava Jade Ten Eyck. Adam was Godfather to all his precious grandchildren who were his greatest joy and were the love of his life. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Patricio Baca, sisters-in-law, Cristella Salas and Loretta Salas; brothers-in-law, Juan D. (Carmen) Romero, Leroy F. Romero, Gilbert Torres and sister-in-law, Carol Romero, and many loving nieces and nephews. Adam is a 1965 graduate of Belen High School. He retired from the NM State Highway Department as a supervisor after 30 years of service. Adam and Ruby enjoyed having coffee with their friends. He liked working with his John Deere tractor and farming on his farm in Bosque. “A true Cowboy at heart.” Adam loved his family unconditionally and always enjoyed being with them. The family of Adam G. Salas would like to thank the NM Heart Hospital, Doctors, Nurses and Chaplain Christopher for the care and compassion they gave to our beloved Adam. Services will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Thursday, January 3, 2019, with a Visitation at 4:00 PM and a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 PM. and Friday, January 4, 2019, with a Final Visitation at 10:00 AM and Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
