Brian Jiron

Brian Joseph Jiron, 47, a beloved son, father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend was taken to his eternal home with the Lord on May 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Brian was born October 12, 1975 in Kansas City, Missouri to Michael and Jeanie Jiron. Brian spent his early days riding bikes and playing basketball. He would later travel the United States on the competitive BMX circuit and be an MVP basketball player for Los Lunas High School where he graduated in 1994. After high school, Brian worked at Isleta Casino as a table games dealer. He would then become an officer for both the Bosque Farms and Isleta Police Department, where he served for several years. After serving the community, he moved on to the car business and retired after 20 plus years. Brian was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and camping. Brian even took his love for hunting to several states, guiding hunters from around the world. When he wasn’t working hard to provide for his family, Brian enjoyed being in his vegetable garden with his children watering and teaching lifelong lessons. He volunteered, not only as a coach for the local little league, but also at his son’s elementary school in the library. Brian was preceded in death by his grandmother, Katherine Luna and his grandfather, Anastacio Luna. Brian is survived by his parents, Michael and Jeanie Jiron; his wife, Ashley; his five children, Elena Gallegos of Dumas, TX; Brian Jiron, Jr. of Durango, CO; RyLee, BrynLee, and Jase Jiron; his brother C. Michael Jiron and wife, Margo of Isleta, NM; his sister, Katherine Bateman and husband, Joe of Los Lunas, NM; his nephew and nieces Daniel, Tatianna, and Dominique Jiron; and many other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Dennis Torres, Zackariah Stephenson, C. Michael Jiron, Daniel Jiron, Jason Baca, and Shawn Kiehne. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Jiron, Jr., Jase Jiron, Zachary Doyle, Zander Doyle, Anthony Balenquah, and Joe Bateman. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, 101 N. 10th St, Belen, NM; a Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM, with a mass of Christian burial to follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow the services at Terrace Grove Cemetery, 1200 W Aragon, Belen, NM. A reception will be held at Belen Community Center, 305 Eagle Ln, Belen, NM.
