Margaret “Maggie” Gallegos, age 75, a resident of Los Lentes, NM went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. She was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church where she volunteered for many years as a CCD teacher. Maggie was known, loved and considered a mother by many in the community. She was a great cook, baker, author, seamstress and flower arranger. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Demesio Maes and Seferina Marquez Maes and son, Randy Gallegos, Sr. Maggie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Gallegos; seven loving children, Dave and wife, Petra, Mike and wife, Elizabeth, Tanya, Jeannie, Richard and wife, Trish, Tim and wife, Michelle and Margaret; daughter-in-law, Geraldine; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; four sisters, Senaida, Sylvia, Molly and Diana and half brother, Joe. All services will be held at the San Clemente Catholic Church, beginning with a viewing on Sunday, January 29, at 2:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. A final visitation will be on Monday, January 30, at 9:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Los Lentes Catholic Cemetery.
